"Can I fit a baby seat beside it?"
Yes. The Single Seat cover fits beside a baby or child car seat — this is intentional. We designed the Single Seat specifically for this scenario: your dog gets their dedicated space, your child keeps theirs, and the cover doesn't interfere with either seatbelt.
The Full Rear (Duo) covers the entire back seat and is designed for dogs who travel alone or with another dog. Both configurations use the same hard base and full footwell coverage.

Does it fit my car?
The Backseat Daydreamer fits the back seat of most cars, SUVs, 4WDs, and utes. The adjustable headrest straps and seat anchors accommodate a wide range of seat configurations. If you're unsure, measure your back seat width — Single Seat requires 55cm minimum, Full Rear requires 110cm minimum.
How do I install it?
Under two minutes. Loop the headrest straps over your rear headrests, tuck the seat anchors between the seat cushions, and clip the safety buckle to your dog's harness. No tools required. Most customers have it set up before they've finished reading the instructions.
Can my dog wear a seatbelt with it?
Yes — the safety travel buckle included in the box clips to your dog's harness and attaches to the car's seatbelt socket. This keeps your dog safely restrained and is recommended for all travel. Please note: a dog should always wear a harness with a seatbelt, never a collar.
How do I clean it?
Wipe down with a damp cloth for everyday mud and fur. For a deeper clean, the cover is machine washable on a cold gentle cycle — remove the hard base panels first. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry. The hard base panels wipe clean separately.
What's the difference between Single and Full Rear?
Single Seat covers one rear seat position and the footwell in front of it. Designed for smaller dogs or situations where you need the other seat for a passenger or child seat. Full Rear (Duo) covers the entire back seat and both footwells — ideal for larger dogs or two dogs travelling together.
My dog is an anxious traveller. Will this help?
The hard base and footwell coverage eliminate the two main sources of car anxiety in dogs: the feeling of sliding on an unstable surface, and falling into the footwell gap. Most anxious dogs show noticeably calmer behaviour within a few trips. We can't guarantee it for every dog, but the majority of our reviews specifically mention this improvement.

Is it suitable for all dog sizes?
Yes — we’ve had dogs from 4kg Chihuahuas to 50kg+ Great Danes reviewed as fitting comfortably. The Full Rear is recommended for dogs over 30kg or very long-bodied breeds. The hard base means even large dogs are properly supported without the cover sagging.
